Ducks Unlimited conserves, restores, and manages wetlands and associated habitats for North America’s waterfowl. These habitats also benefit other wildlife and people. In 1937, a small group of sportsmen formed an organization known as Ducks Unlimited with one mission in mind, habitat conservation. Ducks Unlimited is now the world’s largest and most effective private waterfowl and wetlands conservation organization. Ducks Unlimited has nearly 800,000 members and has conservation projects throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, and areas of Latin America and the Caribbean. To date, the Ducks Unlimited organization has conserved more than 11.6 million acres of waterfowl habitat in North America and has raised more than $2.3 billion dollars. To date, DU's volunteers have raised $2.3 billion dollars and the organization has conserved nearly 12 million acres of habitat- one of the greatest conservation achievements in history.
