According to informationliteracy.org, "At no time in history has the ability to locate, organize, evaluate, manage and use information been more critical for today's learners. These skills, collectively referred to as information literacy, lay the groundwork for success in every phase of a student's life both in and out of school." Why is information literacy so important? Because we now live in a time when we are constantly inundated with information. Consequently, if we fail to distinguish good from faulty information, or we fail to organize it, we will be unable to make good decisions or communicate effectively.
