The mission of the Library Media Center is to support the school academic program and to promote information literacy for independent life-long learning. The LMC is the information center of Newfound Regional High School and provides a variety of audio-visual equipment, computer equipment, and print and electronic resources in an effort to satisfy user needs and interests.

To support its mission, the Library Media Center:
Acquires and catalogs print and electronic material
Maintains audio-visual and computer equipment
Provides circulation and reference services
Provides instruction in library and computer use
Provides a comfortable learning environment.

Library instruction is aimed at helping students develop information literacy skills. Information literate students do all of the following:
Effectively access information
Critically assess the value of information
Problem solve with information
Satisfy personal interests with information
Create quality academic work.
