This page is dedicated to listing selected web tools useful in academic work. The school purchases NoodleTools and Turnitin and provides password information for access. The other tools are free and you may create your own account. Students might also consider viewing the For Teachers page for additional tools, which might be helpful.

NoodleTools - Format your bibliography in MLA style. Save and email bibliographies to your teachers. Record and organize information using online notecards. See LMC for username and password information.

Turnitin - Submit papers electronically without email. All papers are compared against web and database documents and an "Originality Report" is sent to your teacher. See your teacher for log-on information.

Google Documents - Don't have Word or PowerPoint at home? You do now! Upload Word documents, OpenOffice, text, or even create documents and presentations from scratch. Great for working on things between home and school. Note: this service requires an email address for activation.

Del.icio.us - An online bookmarking service. Get your bookmarks from any browser -- on and off campus. Note: this service requires an email address for activation.

Calendar Hub - This is an easy-to-use alternative to the calendar within Google. Stay organized and be prepared for upcoming tests and other due dates. Note: this service requires an email address for activation.

You Send It - Need to email a document to yourself or a teacher? You Send It stores your document on their server for you or your email recipient to access later. Here's their policy on email address collection.

Slideshare - Have a PowerPoint or a PDF document that you need to share? Did you make a presentation at home and need to present it in school? Use slideshare. Upload your file and then log on. Note: this service requires an email address for activation.
